DLSP First XV
A word from our
Captain
It
is a great honour for me to captain De La Salle Palmerston RFC and
to welcome all our visitors to Kilternan during the the 2000/2001
season.
Following
our satisfactory performance last season in our initial year in the
AIL 1st division, we will be looking to consolidate our
position as a major force during this years campaign. This presents
a big challenge to the entire club both on and off the park, but I'm
confident with the depth of talent this club now possesses and the
thankless effort of those around us we will all be working
tirelessly towards this objective.
I
would like to take this opportunity to welcome all new players and
members to the club this season, at whatever level you may
participate it is always good to make new friends and a sure sign of
a club developing its profile.
A
big thanks must go to our many sponsors and advertisers
(particularly Pierse Contracting and Standard Life).
Congratulations
must go to Declan O'Brien for his Irish 'A' cap and also to Rowan
Frost and Shane Stephens for their representatives honours. I would
like to wish the best of luck to all our players ad team management
and especially to our youth's section for the remainder of the
season.
In
particular, good luck to Philip Werahiko for his mammoth efforts as
1st team coach.
Have
a great season,
Tony Giles
Club Captain
