A word from our Coach

The 2000/2001 Season is now well under way and the objective has been to look at as many players as possible with a few to finalising a strong squad fro our second season in the AIB League First Division. While results to date have been mixed, it is fair to say that all the players have benefited from the experience of competing for places in the senior squad and hopefully it will stand to us throughout the AIB League.

Undoubtedly, the success of any team in the AIB League is heavy influenced by the strength of the squad available, hence our desire to give as many players as possible competitive senior team experience. Our objective for the coming season must to build on the tremendous success of last season and endeavour to consolidate our position among Ireland's elite clubs.

as in previous years, it behoves me to express my thanks to the non-playing members of the club, those who do not take the field at the weekend but in various different ways give as much to the club, if not more, than any of the playing panel. To the committees, ground staff, bar staff, team coaches and managers, referees and all others, thank you in advance for your help this season.

I trust that everyone will have an enjoyable day here in DLSP and I look forward to seeing you in the bar after the game.
